True Blood Nail Art #2

Here is my nail art for True Blood tonight. This week I used the newly introduced werewolves as my inspiration and did a night sky with a full moon. I did these about 30 minutes before the show came on so I didn't get a chance to clean up the edges, but I like these better than the ones I did last time.

I used Midnight Cami by Essie as my base and topped that with CND's Effects in Ice Blue Shimmer. Then I used a sponge and applied Sterling Sliver from LA Girl's new Metal Metallic collection. Finally for the moons I used LA Colors Art Deco in White and Silver.

True Blood Nail Art #1

I created this nail for the season 3 premiere of True Blood. I love that show. I'm going to try and come with something for every episode this season. It's a little rough around the cuticle are but they still look awesome.

I don't have the polish in front of me and I'm trying to get this posted quickly so I can go to bed. So here's what I can remember. I used Wet n' Wild's black cream (for the base) and the red (for the blood) is by CQ.

It's supposed to be blood dripping from a pool of blood.

Ok I really fixed the problem this time. It was the layout I got from pyzam. It didn't have commenting in the code : ( Not happy about that I like my theme. So what do you think of the new one? I think it's purty!

Comments Fixed

For some reason my comments were set for registered users only, So I fixed that and now anyone can comment. Thank you Brooke of Getcha Nails Did for letting me know about the problem. I've got followers now. I'm so excited.

I was planning on getting some posts up this week but my 5-year-old brought home lice. EWWWWWWWWWW!!!! So I've been busy killing all those little suckers, and his birthday is Friday and I still have tons to do for his party. But I'll try my best to get a post up this week.

Nail Art - Tissue Paper

I found this girly spring floral tissue paper while I was baby shower shopping. I feel in love with it and just had to put it on my nails. I guess you could call it a faux minx manicure.

I still have to work out the kincks, and this manicure is almost a week old. I know it looks rough.

Misa Mardi Gras Collection

Here are swatches of the 3 colors I have from this collection. I love the formulation of these polishes. So far every one I've gotten goes on complete opaque in just 2 coats, and some only need 1 coat. It's just fabulous! These are the colors I liked the most.

L-R: Shake it to the Samba, Blame it on Fat Tuesday, and Throw Me Something Purple.

Color Club Electro Candy

I finally got the Electro Candy Collection by Color Club. I don't know why I waited so long because these are some of the best neons I've ever seen. Most neons are just on flat color but these have beautiful iridescence to them, yet they all dry matte.

These swatches are all 3 coats without a base or top coat.

L-R: Ultra Violet, Electro Candy, and Tangerine Scream

L-R: Volt of Light, What a Shock, and Pure Energy.

Martha Stewart Glitter Collections

These are all from the eBay auction I won awhile ago. First is the Essential Glitter Collection which comes with 24 vials of glitter. Sorry about the glare unfortunately it's in almost ever picture. The second picture is of the Iridescent Glitter set.

These are the 2 tinsel sets. Tinsel Glitter, and Iridescent Tinsel Glitter. Each contain 12 vials.

Next up we have microbeads. On the left is the Metallic Glass, and you guessed it on the right is the regular Microbead Set.

These are mylar flakes, but the kit is call the Vintage Leaf set, and close-up picture for a better look.

My love the Iridescent Hearts & Stars Glitters. So Glamorous. Did I tell you how much I love them yet. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. I could keep going. Look at that beautiful close-up.

and finally the extra kit I got is the Stamping Kit

If there are any color combos you liked to see I'd be more than happy to come up with a mix. I also have a ton of shapes that can be added as well which I will be sharing with you soon.

Busy Busy Busy

Well it's been awhile. I've been busy with school being the end of the semester and all. Plus I'll be graduating. Praise God. I'll be done with finals by the 5Th, so hopefully next week I'll get all the blogs I've started finished and posted. Hopefully, as long as I don't become lazy enjoying all my free time before I have to go job hunting.

So next week keep an eye out for some new posts.

Glitters Galore Coming My Way

As you know I'm not just addicted to polish I'm also addicted to acrylic nail. Even thought I'm not a pro I LOVE to do them myself, so for months I've been drooling over Martha Stewart's glitter collections. So I went to my trusted friend, eBay, to help me find a great deal. I put a bid on an auction with 5 collection and to my dismay I didn't win. But as I searched for another auction I found the mother load. An auction with a 8 of her glitter collection and an extra kit. So happy was I, it was worth staying up til 12. 111 that is how many vials. I'm just so excited. Think of all the GLORIOUS glitter mixes I'll be able to make. Can't wait to share them with you all. Which reminds me I just made some the other day I need to show you.

New Posts will be coming soon. School is almost over, and I'll be graduating. VERY HAPPY!!!!

Claire's Pastel Minis

When I saw swatches of this collection Getcha Nails Did http://getchanailsdid.blogspot.com/2010/02/stop-freakin-presses-claires-pastels.html
I had to have them. They come in a set of 6 minis for $12.50 as shown below. They're different than you normal run of the mill pastel so i'm going to call these pastel neons which most of them are.

I haven't had time to swatch all the colors just the peach shade. All the shades are lovely, but the blue wasn't what I expected at all. At some point in time I will swatch them all and give more in depth descriptions. For now here's a pic of the lovely shade I'm currently wearing.

Craving

I feel like I'm losing my mind waiting for April to get here. I am in love with every color in this collection and I need them NOW.

Last summer when I was looking neons these were the colors I imagined, and now that they have been created I feel like I'm going through withdrawals. I just want to look at them all the time.

I even find myself insanely jealous of all those lucky nail bloggers who have already gotten to try them out.
So you better believe as soon as I can purchase them they will be in my possession. MY PRECIOUS!!!

Here is another picture from my water marbling craze phase. When I first saw this technique I was mesmerized and had to make tons of samples. I was hooked! It takes longer than just doing it right on the nail but it looks so much better this way. Plus you don't have to worry about it looking like crap if you work with it to much.

The colors I used were Hot Purple by Jesse's Girl, Nail Noir by Creative, and Crystal Ball from the Sally Hansen Magical collection. The top coat I used was Grape Shimmer from Revlon's Glimmer Gloss collection, and I added some stellar little lavender star shaped rhinestones.
